💍 Wedding Coordinator Tip for Brides-to-Be 💍

Plan your marriage even more than your wedding day. ✨
Yes, the flowers, dress, and timeline matter — but what you’ll remember most is how you felt. Build moments into your day to pause, breathe, and actually be present with your partner. Sneak away for a private dinner bite, a quiet prayer, or a sunset photo together. Those few minutes will ground you and turn a whirlwind day into a deeply meaningful one. 🤍

And remember: you don’t have to manage a thing — that’s what your coordinator is for. Let go, soak it in, and just be the bride. 💐

One of my absolute favorite parts of being a wedding coordinator is getting to know each couple’s love story — the moments that led them to forever. 💍✨

This sweet couple said “I do” in the very same place they had their first date… proof that sometimes the beginning really does become the happily ever after. 🥹💕 Their story is pure magic — truly like Barbie and Ken in real life, but even more beautiful because it’s real.

Being trusted to help bring a love story like this to life is such an honor. From first look to last dance, every detail becomes part of a memory that will last forever. 🤍

If you’re dreaming of a wedding day that feels personal, seamless, and completely you, I would be so honored to walk alongside you. ✨

Wedding Tip Thursday: It’s always a good idea to add seating to your ceremony in lieu of cramming everyone together. Give them some space as no one wants to feel crunched, or to be too intimate with strangers, from the time they sit down to the time your ceremony ends. By having about 20 extra chairs than there are guests, will allow people to spread out and not necessarily sit right up against another person. In addition, be sure to mark each seat located in the front that is reserved for those you designate. It can be as little as just the front row or as many as the first three rows. Be sure to inform those who are designated to sit in the reserved section. If for some reason someone is sitting in those sections that have not been designated, be sure that your wedding coordinator or wedding day point person is notified so they can rectify the situation.

Yes, rain is good luck on your wedding day! Your in for even more good luck with a day-of-wedding coordinator should unexpected weather arise! Having a day of wedding coordinator problem solve with your venue can make for a much more enjoyable day, than having to do it yourself while getting ready. Let Coots Coordination handle the stress. When planning for any part of your wedding day to be outdoors, you have to have a plan B. At your “month-of” meeting with your coordinator talk through some of these details:
- does my venue offer plan B options and what are they
- can my decor, flowers, etc withstand strong wind
-can my guests manage bad weather if elderly or handicapped
-do I have umbrellas prepared or a plan to pick them up if needed
-multiple photo shoot option locations
-hair/make-up touch up plan
-transportation

Coots coordination will handle it all! We communicate with everyone involved the new plan and be sure the day runs smoothly, rain or shine!

August is around the corner and I’m dreaming of those lucious transition colors of flowers, linens, runners and decor! This is my favorite August wedding in Dayton, Ohio at the Steam Plant. The couple I coordinated for had such a fun vision and it was exciting to see it come to life!

Wedding Tip Tuesday: For your florist appointment, bring pictures of inspiration, a picture of your wedding dress and your bridesmaid dress. If you have any color swatches of your table clothes or napkins those would also be helpful for the florist to make all the arrangements cohesive with your color scheme. Be open to new ideas, especially if they have any money saver flowers that match your colors! 🌻 Another way to save money is to avoid paying for the service of someone creating your arrangements. Instead buy flowers in bulk and have your bridesmaids help you the day before, bundle the flowers into bouquets using a video online that teaches you. Be sure you have enough refrigerator space to store them before committing to this option.
