Just a quick note to say we will NOT be setting up today at this weekend’s Rock the Dock concert at the Port of Redwood City, due to our catering schedule. You might see us on-site, but we will be prepping for a wedding dinner, and won’t be able to serve concert-goers at the same time! The catering schedule is well booked this month, so we most likely won’t be back for concerts the rest of this month, although we might be able to slip in for the final weekend! We‘ll let you know right here! In the meantime, have a great Saturday, and a Happy and Safe Labor Day holiday!

Back at The Port of Redwood City today with Rock the Dock, featuring the Touch of Class Band, ripping’ it up with Motown, Old School, R&B, Soul, and Pop! What a great way to cap off a great summer, with some great Northern California weather! We’ll be serving up smoked brisket plates and smoked chicken plates from 2:40 to 6:00 PM, or until we run out! Hey BBQ and music lovers! A big thanks to all of you who came out and supported us in the recent Rock the Dock Saturdays with Pride and Joy, The Collective, Adam Aldana, and Patron! But we’re not done yet! Summer’s still cookin’ this Saturday 8/15 with the pop, Motown, soul, and rock sounds of Club 90! We’ll be there serving up our Central Texas-style smoked bbq from 2:30 to 6:00 PM or until we run out, whichever comes first! Come on over to 459 Seaport Court in Redwood City, and join the fun! Yowsa BBQ lovers! We’re back at the Port of Redwood City this Saturday June 27th from 2-6 PM doing our popup alongside Rock the Dock with special guest rockers Daze on the Green, the Bay Area’s premier cover band who were “Last Band Standing” contest finalists! Should be a lot of fun! We’ll be serving up smoked brisket and smoked chicken plates along with our signature sides of chipotle cole slaw, potato salad, and pinto beans infused with smoked beef brisket and smoked pork baby-back rib meat! We’ll also be sampling our smoked chicken curry salad and selling containers to go, along with a limited supply of vacuum-sealed and refrigerated smoked brisket packs, baby-back rib packs, and smoked half-chickens to go! So come on over to 459 Seaport Court in Redwood City - the concert runs from 3:30 to 6:00 PM, but if you just want to pick up food to go, come by from 2:00-3:00 and you can get in and out quickly! Ahh yes, San Pedro Valley Park in Pacifica may look more peaceful here than on our recent trip to serve Monterra Credit Union’s employees and their families at our 5th straight Monterra Summer BBQ, but that day was certainly more fun! As in 235 meat-eaters, 25 vegetarians, and 80 offspring being served 10 smoked beef briskets, 36 racks of smoked baby-back pork ribs, 24 smoked chickens, 30 smoked Impossible Burgers, plenty of potato salad, Cathy’s awesome green salad, pinto beans with smoked beef brisket and smoked pulled pork added (because you can never have too much brisket, right?), and a ton of Cathy’s homemade mac and cheese for the small fry! Thanks to all the brisket hounds at Monterra for having us out to serve you all again! We slept well that night! Bring on Year Six!

Unavoidables have been keeping us from setting up at the port the last few Saturdays, and although we will not be out there today (Saturday, June 20th) we WILL be back the following Saturday, June 27th with an expanded menu, including some of our smoked meat packs and cold smoked salads for taking home as well as enjoying at the concerts! More info to come this week!

All you Port of Redwood City Rock the Dock concert-goers, just letting you know we will NOT be there the next two Saturdays due to our catering schedule, but we plan to return on June 13th for Pride Celebration to serve up our Texas BBQ with the dance music of Neon Velvet! Enjoy the Motown, R&B, Soul, and Pop tomorrow from Top Shelf Classics, and we’ll see you on the 13th!

Hey BBQ lovers! This coming Saturday we’re back at the Port of Redwood City for another popup along with Rock the Dock, this time featuring The Houserockers for a little rock and soul! We’ll be there from 2:30 to 5:30 PM, serving smoked brisket and smoked chicken plates along with our signature sides of chipotle cole slaw, potato salad, and pinto beans infused with smoked beef brisket and smoked pork baby-back rib meat! And we’ll also be sampling our smoked chicken curry salad, and selling containers to-go! Come on over to 459 Seaport Court in Redwood City and join the party!

Thanks to everyone who came out to Hillsborough Saturday night in support of San Mateo’s Carey School, and braved the mechanical bull. Especially all you brisket hounds. Right, ladies? Yee-hah.
