It was such a joy to be part of one of my first brides’ stunning day of celebration. Kate opted to use my ala carte option for her day and just wanted to make sure she had a beautiful bouquet, bridesmaids and flower crown.
I enjoy providing this option for those who may not require a full-service wedding. I believe she did an excellent job prioritizing what would be captured in her pictures that last forever.

Since I also love to grow flowers I had every intention to arrange with them at least once a week, but as we all know how busy summer can get, I haven’t been able to keep up with my goal.

Luckily today I found a moment to use up the sweet pea, phlox and delphinium. The only thing I didn’t grow was the beautiful royal blue delph I picked up at the and I think was grown by ❤️ it was also fun to experiment with colors I don’t usually design with. Happy Sunday

As it heats up here the pansies are starting to struggle, but I can’t just toss these pretty babies I’ve grown from seed since January. Enjoying these blooms in various ways until my next sowing in the fall and hoping some of them will come back.

Looking back at my time in Cali this April with these flower geniuses for their first Flowers In Focus workshop.
One of my favorite workshops as we geeked out over all the things I love: floristry, gardening, and photography.
If you ever get the chance to learn from any of these artists take it. Hopefully, I’ll get the chance to do it again!

A little floral selfie with a bridal bouquet that was sent out this morning.

I realize not everyone has a massive floral budget when getting married, but I offer my “ala carte” option where you can pick what’s most important and invest in those pieces. This bride only needed her bouquet, three bridesmaids, and a floral crown. Others may just need centerpieces for their tables. Whatever it is, I’m love offering smaller offerings to my clients.

These are my very last tulips, Copper Image, I believe and I knew I would regret not designing with them before they left. Even on my dirty garden table.

I’m fascinated by every stage of a tulip especially these as they blow open and change color. Goodbye, Spring. Summer is just about here .

Just got my film back from the Flowers In Focus workshop I attended last week and I think I’m in love with film again.
Photography is just a hobby for me and I love my DSLR, but thanks to these ladies they’ve reintroduced me to film and I’ll be practicing with it some more.
Used my new find, the Canon AE-1 and Kodak Gold 200 film
