On national daughter’s day. (Amber here) So often people ask me if I ever wish I’d had a daughter. For anyone who doesn’t know me well, I have four amazing boys. I always answer the same way. I didn’t get one daughter. I got HUNDREDS. 8 years of brides and a lifetime to go.

Sweet brides, I like to think of you more as a friend or sister than a daughter, because like I’m not THAT old yet right!? But truly, thank you for giving Carilee, Kelly and I a front row seat for the privilege and honor of a lifetime. Planning your wedding day with you. What an absolute joy and wild ride. I don’t plan on getting off this roller coaster anytime soon. 🖤

Ceremony at Eastminster and reception at 1208 made for a fancy, classic, and timeless evening for these two love birds.

It’s rare to have a wedding these days without former clients in attendance and this was no exception with two former couples to catch up with! We got a glorious break in the August heat to rock trucker hats, chop our Braves tomahawks and get down with the most fun crew. There were multiple shades of blue in the house from our gorgeous linens to the PC Blue Hose alum!

Rachel and Pat started as clients and ended as friends. Here’s to your happy ending! 🥂

Babies, we’re having, travel, we can’t. I’m sorry, you understand.
But A Moi we adore you, your weddings are great, please come back to our coast covered land.

When the parents of the groom are the florists, the father of the groom is the officiant, and the mother of the bride is Amber’s newest best friend - ITS A GOOOOOOD ONE. Rebecca and Seth know what really matters. Friends that love you hard. Family that holds you up. And a wedding to bring all of it to life. Sally Sauls called me 10 months ago and we hung up going, “yep, this is gonna be fun together” (I LOVE WHEN THIS HAPPENS)

Highlights of the day? Hank the dog. The florals, literally all the florals. The wedding party (this crew has grown up together and it shows). The deep love and respect from all of the family (there were 24 honored guests - family by blood AND family by choice). The fits - you really can’t beat a warm weather wedding when it comes to fashion.

The Saul/Gross family is special, like small town, we’ve got each others backs, old school special. I may or may not have threatened/promised to move my crew out to Batesburg Leesville because these people just get it. They’re doing life the right way.

ALL my love you guys, it’s not bye. It’s see ya later. ❤️

Things we’ll always remember (outside of the actual weddings):
- when a trusted DJ stepped up at the last minute when an out of town DJ ghosted
- when a gorgeous venue let us take photos at their property because the client’s ceremony was across the street at the church
- when vendors across the state helped us secure a generator the night before a wedding out of town
- when a friendly florist continues to let us borrow flower girl baskets
- when a bridal shop lets us borrow a gown for an impromptu ceremony for a client whose sick loved one isn’t going to be around for the actual wedding day
- when a photographer shows up for a surprise engagement that the original photog had to cancel
- when experienced successful planner friends step in and step up for us when we need advice, a listening ear, or someone to do the running because we’re a million months pregnant at a wedding

This industry certainly boasts gorgeous events filled with florals and patterns and the ever loved waves of a sailcloth flag but at the heart of it? Relationships. A group of actual friends who have each other’s backs.

DJs a plenty, Pac-man, and personalized bracelets. One for the books, you guysssss. These two infused the perfect amount of their personal loves into their elegant spring wedding. Lawyer by day, DJ by night? Say less. These love birds jumped on the stage to wow the guests with a little 💃📀🕺🏼.

They had an old school Pac-Man game, custom bracelets (called candy in the rave world), and hundreds of Italian cookies made by the bride’s mom and aunt. This mixed with the subtle elegance of Magnolia Way was a southern/party infused day we will be talking about for a hot dang minute.

As we wind down for a month or two, we leave you with this. Your wedding day is just that - YOURS! We never want it to look “our way” (is that even a thing for us?) for the ‘gram or our website. It’s quite simply not about us, ever. It’s about sharing your love, your story, your way. Always. ✌🏽until August.
