Pono Acres

Pono Acres Pono Acres farm is a unique event facility hosting private events, live music and farm tours. Pono is the Hawaiian word for harmony with nature.

OUR STORY: Established in 2011, Pono Acres is a mutual dream that started when an Oregon country girl met a Californian surfer at the University of Oregon in 1986. They shared a love of music and pizza splurges underneath parked semis in the rain. Since Brian had never mowed a lawn and Amy could do just about anything, somehow they thought buying some land and adding over 50 animals to a family o

f 6 would be relaxing. While the learning curve has been steep, life on the farm has been rewarding. There is never a dull moment and they spend a lot of time feeding hungry mouths and picking up poop of all sizes. Seeing all the animals get along peacefully is what led to the name Pono Acres. The property is constantly evolving and each time you visit, you may see something new. As we continue to grow, we are interested in doing more things around equine activities and exploring new uses for the property. Whichever direction we go, it will always center around our passions: good music, good food, and spending time with good friends.

Have you checked out the new Joe Stamm Band album, Little Crosses, yet? We have it on repeat here at the farm. The rave reviews keep pouring in. Saving Country Music says it best: ‘What do top names like Tyler Childers, The Turnpike Troubadours, Cody Jinks, Sturgill Simpson and Jason Isbell have that The Joe Stamm Band lack? The answer is nothing. Their songs and songwriting, the stellar catalog of albums, and blistering live performances don’t give an inch of ground up to anyone. It’s only an issue of name recognition keeping these Peoria, IL, guys from headlining festivals.’ This Black Dirt Country Rock gem is a perfect match for a summer night on the farm.

Last Wednesday to Sunday was a whirlwind.
We lost our beloved Great Dane, Otis. We love this breed, but their short time breaks our hearts. On Saturday, we hosted Gabe Lee & King Margo at the farm for an unforgettable concert—hanging with Gabe the next day was a blast!
Then, on Sunday, Amy & Tess filled the void with a new Great Dane puppy. This little one has been a sweet distraction for us, Arlo, and Naya as we grieve Otis💔.
