Role Description
We are seeking a casual Entertainer to join our team in Kahului, HI. This on-site role involves performing as the character "Kai" from the kids book series Poi 'n Kai at events, parties, author book readings, and celebrations to provide interactive and engaging experiences. Responsibilities include preparing for performances, maintaining costumes and props, engaging with guests in a professional and friendly manner, and staying in character. Punctuality, enthusiasm, and a commitment to bringing joy to every event are essential.

Qualifications
Performance Skills: Acting, improvisation, and the ability to bring characters convincingly to life.

Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication, the ability to engage with audiences of all ages, and confidence in public speaking or performing.
Physical Requirements: Resembles Character and the ability to wear costumes for extended periods and perform in various indoor and outdoor environments.

Professionalism: Punctuality, reliability, and a positive, enthusiastic attitude for entertaining audiences.

Preferred but not Required: Prior experience in performance arts, theater, or entertainment roles.

Additional Skills: Creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities in dynamic event environments.

Creating a children’s book is about more than just the story.
It’s about bringing that story to life in a way children can feel uplifted and empowered.

With Eggwish, I knew the world of Easter Hollow needed to feel warm, magical, and emotionally inviting. That vision came to life through the work of illustrator Jasper Salazar.

Jasper has a unique ability to translate feeling into visual storytelling by creating characters and environments that children can instantly connect with.

One of the most important parts of this process was designing Everhop. From the beginning, Eggwish was created with the intention of bringing him to life as a mascot, not just on the page, but as a character children could experience in person.

During Easter week, we saw that come full circle. At our Eggwish Stations, children shared who they hoped to become, and seeing the reactions from parents was a powerful reminder of why stories like this matter.

Illustration made that possible. It helped transform Eggwish from an idea into something tangible, something children can hold, families can share, and memories can be built around.

Grateful for the collaboration and creativity that helped bring this story to life with more stories to come.
