Frederick in Flight Tethered Balloon Rides!
Thanks to RE/MAX Momentum , free tethered balloon rides will be offered Saturday, June 27, only at Centennial Park (630 Eighth St.).
Rides are scheduled to begin at 7 am, so be sure to line up early! Rides are first-come, first-served, and participants must sign a waiver. Rides will be given in the order waivers are signed.
Edit (additional info): There is no set age requirement for tethered balloon rides. If weather conditions allow and tethered rides are able to take place, riders of any age may participate at the pilot’s discretion. A signed waiver will be required before riding.
Helpful guidelines for all ballooning activities:
- Participants should be tall enough to see over the edge of the basket without being held.
- Children should be able to listen to the pilot, follow directions, stand comfortably for the duration of the ride, and be comfortable with loud burner noises.
- Adults are generally not permitted to hold small children in their arms during the ride. The balloon pilot has the final say on who can ride.
Please remember: all balloon activities are weather permitting, and the balloon pilot has the final say on whether rides can happen and which passengers are able to ride.
Come early, enjoy the morning lift-off, and stick around for a chance to go up, up, and not-too-far-away!
