In NC the average cost for a wedding DJ is between $1000-$3000. Remember not to go cheap when guest experience is important! Here's a great read from WeddingWire.

What's worse than this random AI generated image? Sticking your DJ in a corner or behind a bunch of guest tables is worse.

The best place to put the DJ table is next to the dance floor, ideally in the center of the room. This location allows the DJ to see the crowd and interact with guests. It also helps to focus the sound on the dance floor and not at conversing guests.

Top 5 Reasons to locate the DJ table next to the dance floor:

1. Visibility: The DJ needs to be able to see the crowd to gauge their energy level.
2. Interaction: The DJ needs to be able to interact with guests to encourage them to dance.
3. Sound quality: Placing the DJ near the dance floor helps to focus the sound where it is needed most.
4. If your DJ's in a corner, there's usually a table (or more) between his speakers and the dance floor. So there are two options: either the music is way too loud for the guests seated at that table or way too soft for a happening party.
5. You wouldn't dream of putting the band in a corner! The DJ is your reception entertainment... Give them a front row!
