Ever notice septic problems seem to show up right after several days of HEAVY rain?

Your drainfield relies on the surrounding soil to accept and treat wastewater. When that soil is already saturated from rain, it may not be able to accept wastewater as efficiently.

That can make an existing or struggling system much more noticeable. 😬💩

So the answer is????

WTF WEDNESDAY: Why is THAT spot so green?!

A random patch of extra-thick, extra-green grass over your drain field might look like your lawn is thriving… but sometimes your grass is trying to tell you something. 👀🌱

Extra moisture or nutrients reaching the surface can cause unusually lush growth and may be worth having checked out — especially if you notice wet or soggy ground, odors, or slow drains along with it. Give us a call to schedule a quick once over for your system.

“But you JUST pumped my tank… why is there water in it again?!”

We hear this one more than you’d think!

A septic tank doesn’t stay empty after it’s pumped. The second you start flushing toilets, taking showers, washing dishes or doing laundry, water starts entering it again.

So yes, seeing liquid in your tank after a pump-out can be completely normal. Your septic tank is actually designed to operate full of liquid. What we’re concerned about is the buildup of solids and whether the system is properly moving wastewater.
