It is 1949. The misery of the Great Depression is subsiding and post war prosperity is underway. Companies are meeting the demands of society with the production of cars, tv’s, and various other household goods. Congress passed the GI bill which increased the demand for veteran’s housing. Paramus farmland was converted into residential housing to meet that need. The desire to enhance the community and to help one-another flourished.
The Rotary Club of Paramus was born.

For 75 years, the Rotary Club of Paramus has been a pillar of Paramus, Bergen County and the international community.

During that time the Paramus Rotary Club has:
Provided life saving surgery and medical care for 1108 children.
Awarded $875,000 in Scholarships to deserving Paramus students.
1000’s of hours giving back to the community
