Final day of cooking camp- Mexican food with a twist

We made homemade sopapillas, apple empanadas and chicken and cheese chimichangas.

Day 3 of cooking camp- we made Asian food with a twist! It was really fun playing with rice paper and trying several of the viral recipes.

We made the viral Asian cucumber salad, crispy chicken rice paper wraps and sweet rice paper rolls.

Final day of cooking camp. The theme for the day was boujie picnic/camping recipes! We made delicious banana muffins, ham/turkey and cheese puff pastry pockets, mini s’mores pies, watermelon and ice cream floats.

Day 2 of cooking camp! We worked hard today and had to be patient to try all our awesome recipes! We made a yeast focaccia pizza, Italian cream cones, a circus animal blondie and finished it off with a Starbucks pink drink dupe! We practiced precise measuring, separating egg yolks from the whites, what happens to yeast when added to warm water and sugar and how to make a homemade custard! Lots of techniques were learned today and all the recipes tasted amazing!

Cooking camp is underway! Day 1 we made breakfast foods. We made brioche stuffed crunchy French toast, candied bacon and fruit smoothies. They practiced cutting with a “bear claw”, measuring and egg cracking. It was a super fun day!
