Is the desired date available? If not, are there alternative dates or a waitlist?
How far in advance should the booking be made?
Are there discounts for non-Saturday weddings or off-peak seasons?
How long is the rental included in the fee, and what is the cost for additional hours?

What is the maximum capacity of the venue for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception?
Are there different layout options for various guest counts or activities (dance floor, band)?
Is it possible to customize the layout, and are there any restrictions on moving existing furniture or fixtures?

What is the rental fee, and what does it include (tables, chairs, linens, setup, breakdown)?
Are there different packages available? What are the inclusions and costs of each package?
What are the additional fees, such as service charges, taxes, cleaning fees, and gratuities? Are they included in the quote or additional?
What is the deposit amount, when is it due, and is it refundable?
What is the payment schedule for the remaining balance?

Does the venue offer in-house catering, or can outside caterers be brought in?
If outside catering is allowed, are there preferred vendor lists or restrictions?
Is a tasting included in the package?
What are the catering options (buffet, plated, family style) and how do they impact pricing?
Can the venue accommodate dietary restrictions or special requests?
Does the venue have a liquor license and provide alcohol service?
What are the bar options (open bar, cash bar, consumption-based) and associated costs?
Can you bring your own alcohol, and are there corkage fees?
Are there any restrictions on the types or quantities of alcohol that can be served?

How early can you (and vendors) access the venue for setup and deliveries? When does everything need to be out by?
Does the venue offer setup and teardown assistance?
Are there private rooms for the bridal party to get ready? What amenities are included?
What are the parking options for guests, and is there a fee? Is valet available?
Is the venue handicap accessible? Inquire about ramps, elevators, and accessible restrooms.
How many restrooms are available for the guest count? Will additional ones be needed?
Are there partnerships with nearby hotels for guest accommodations or shuttle services?
What is the backup plan for outdoor spaces in case of inclement weather?
Are there any noise restrictions or curfews? When does the music need to end?
Does the venue provide audio/visual equipment (speakers, microphones, projector)?
Are there any restrictions on decorations (candles, confetti, hanging installations)?
Is there a designated space for dancing, and what size is the dance floor?
Are there any areas where photography or videography is restricted?

What is the cancellation and rescheduling policy? What happens to the deposit if the event is canceled or postponed?
What are the details of the force majeure clause?
Does the venue have liability insurance, and what does it cover (general liability, liquor liability, property damage, workers' compensation)? What are the limits?
Is it required to purchase wedding insurance?
By asking these comprehensive questions and getting clear answers in writing before signing the contract, you can feel confident in your choice of venue and avoid potential surprises or misunderstandings down the line. Remember to read the contract carefully and ask for clarification on anything unclear. Having a second set of eyes on the paperwork is also a good idea.
