As a hybrid wedding photographer, I now include vintage 35mm film photos with all my wedding packages. Why?

No.1 The Aesthetic
🎞️ I mean… pretty self-explanatory but come on. That filmic look is just beautiful! Coloring does depend on the type of film used, however all film across the board share a common softness and grain.

No.2 The Anticipation
🎞️ Unlike with digital, you can’t get sneak peeks with film. It’s like an extra present, to be delivered all the digitales and then to finally have the full come back from the lab. With that, you can’t predict the light leaks and other happy accidents that film has a tendency to produce.

No.3 The Intimacy
🎞️ Film knows you better than digital. What I mean is that there’s no redos in film because the photographer herself can’t look back and check to make sure what she captured. Film photos are pure moments of raw emotion and the real you. And honestly, in a digital age, that’s pretty scary but also have the fun!

You can’t also add film photos, Polaroids, and super 8 film video to any package, elopement, or photoshoot!
