As a tinkerer and someone who likes to make stuff, I tend to collect lots off tools and projects, including finished projects, I just can’t hold on to forever. I made this simple skirt for a fashion event years ago and wore it once. I wrapped a black band around my thigh to accentuate the high slit 😘 Now, I’m throwing it in the swap mix for some lucky size 12 to enjoy for hopefully years to come.

Happy Women’s History Month! Time to shine a spotlight on those unsung heroines and fierce femmes ❤🙋🏿♀️🧕👩🏻🦳
This brings back memories of the awesome collab I had with Nightfly, a super cool lifestyle and fashion crew in China who rocked a whole week of women-power events - think speeches, workshops, and parties all about lifting women up. Back then, the headlines were buzzing with stories of ladies facing trouble from ride share drivers after a night out. While some folks were all about “What was she wearing?” or “Why was she out so late?” my friend and Nightfly founder, Pangyang Hu, took charge. She created this event to educate and promote women’s independence, sexual health, and relationships, countering victim-blaming narratives. The initiative emphasized celebrating women and rejecting stereotypes, as seen in her original hashtag “dontblamesexy.” And I was so honored she asked me to join in the planning efforts. Day 1 of Springboard on Ice ‘24 is a wrap! Thanks to a diverse crowd of families and adults, beginners and pros who graced the ice! We were treated to the first of several performances from Brownbody while they showed us the ropes on the ice. We also sipped Flava Coffee & Cafe’s speciality oat milk hot chocolate, warmed up inside with games and activities and basked in the intricate design of our SOI24 ice sculpture by Andrew Bentley. Be sure to swing by Springboard for the Arts as the weather won’t allow for his unique design to last much longer.
