Took a weekend trip to Emmettsburg, Iowa and had a great time in the Bohica BBQ sauna. The bbq contest didn’t go to terribly bad. Close again to our goal, but a dead ass last brisket tempered the day. Highlight was definitely a Nector of the Hogs Breakfast delivery as well as all the other breakfast goodies to fill us up. Lost more money to Team Crawford, so I’ll have to figure out how to cook another contest this year to try and get some of that back. Was great having Richard Merten stop by and say hey as well! Thank again to Man Meat BBQ and The Good Charcoal Company for keeping us seasoned and fueled! Results?

Chicken - 2nd (lost tiebreaker)
Ribs - 11th
Pork - 7th (wild child hand down!!!💰💰)
Brisket - table 977
Overall - 10th

Pretty solid weekend at the SD BBQ Championships in Huron. We had some chaos as always, but ground out a pretty solid day. As happy as I am with our day, nothing tops seeing one of your BBQ homies GC!! Congrats to Justin Enerson and the fellas at Rum N' Smoke BBQ on a huge win!!! Our results……

Ribs - 12th
Pork - 4th 💰💰
Brisket - 1st 🥇😎
Overall - 4th

Not a terrible day for a Bbq contest in Hill City, SD. Beautiful weather and scenery don't hurt. We won 3 tables, but it just quite wasn't enough to win the day.

Trecked our way over to Emmettsburg to “my Iowa Contest” and had a good little time. Got a visit from an old High School friend as well as the one and only Slim D and Richard! More importantly, got to check another thing off the bbq checklist. Walking last in chicken has evaded me until today!! Man Meat BBQ powered the the day, everything else was consistently average. Congrats to the 🐐 on yet another Grand Championsip. The real winner today way Gold Bond. Holy s**t was it hot!

Now we patiently sip on some Ames Lager with our fingers crossed until the jack draw!
