Happy Wednesday everyone! As we roll into summer we wanted to take a minute to introduce ourselves to the new faces around here and also give an update on some life things!

We are Adrianna & Andrea! We wear many different hats- sisters, mom (to children and dogs), wife,business partners, balloon girlies, charcuterie queens, event designers, and general have fun connoisseurs!🎉

We started BW (Baez Worksop) coming up on 3 years ago with the intention of bringing new/trendy styles to the area, elevating events, and creating a new way to look at how we celebrate. We’ve been been fortunate enough to do just that with so many private and commercial clients!

While this year has been exciting and full of opportunity and growth, it’s important to also mention how challenging and at times scary on the personal side of things they’ve also been. Between on going health issues, moving homes/states, starting new full time jobs and of course just existing (lol) it’s easy to get lost in it all. We’ll say it until we are blue in the face- thank you for giving us the opportunity to grow our business and for giving us a fulfilling purpose.

So, as we are all trying to figure out work/life/social media balance while also growing our businesses and of course trying to stay ‘rELeVanT’ amongst the algorithm- remember, we are ALL just real people, with real problems, families, dreams, health issues, triumphs, and failures. So thank you to all our clients current, past and future for choosing us or just for following along in our journey. We not sure what’s next, but we love creating for you and we are excited to figure it out with you guys 🎈

Willow Beauty Center | 202 W State St, Suite 101 | Rockford, IL

Meet Leah! 👋 She owns Willow Beauty Center in downtown Rockford, along with her business partner Thinh To. Located on the ground floor of the iconic Burnham Loft building, they renovated the space to keep its historic charm and opened during the heat of the COVID-19 pandemic in December 2020. While it was certainly a challenge, Leah has never looked back.

Never owning a studio and about to welcome her first child into the world, Leah was a bit skeptical. But with the help of Thinh, they renovated and built out their “dream team.” With hard work they secured a full salon of employees before they even broke ground.

Today the salon provides all hair services from extensions to color, cuts and more. They also offer body and facial waxing, threading, permanent make-up, bridal make-up services, a full nail salon, skin treatments and facials and spray tanning. Additionally, they sell Kerastase, Unite, and Glo Skin Beauty products for retail along with a clothing boutique at the front of the store, carrying merch from a local artist Triple T Creations and a local CBD company, Cultivated Remedies.

“I am so passionate about our business and so grateful to be downtown,” said Leah. “It’s so great to be a part of the growth that downtown has to offer, seeing the potential and participating in local events. It’s a big family down here, and all the businesses look out for each other.”

▪️ Emerald Moon Floral – “This is a new up and coming floral shop. The owner Kaya worked closely with Lori from London Avenue Designs.”
▪️ Wonderland Sweets – “This is another great business we’ve partnered with for giveaways and events”

• GARLANDS & ARCHES •

Knowing the different types of designs available makes it easier to know what you’re asking for when booking with a stylist! Balloon ‘garlands’ and balloon ‘arches’ are two similar but different requests and can be styled and installed in many different ways.

A Balloon Garland is balloon garland needs about comprised of clusters of various sized balloons attached together. How many balloons a garland needs depends on the different balloon sizes, the design of the garland, and the desired length. Intricate garlands often have a mixture of different balloon sizes and materials. In slides 1 & 2 you’ll see examples of Garlands with different types of add ons and styled in two different ways.

A Balloon Arch refers to an arrangement of balloons into an arch shape. They can be created using balloon clusters or quads, linked balloons, or in specialty designs like organic or string of pearl arches.
Slides 3 & 4 show examples of different Arches styled in two different ways.
