A bride recently asked me, “What’s the standard when it comes to tipping wedding vendors?”
My answer? There isn’t a one-size-fits-all rule!
Each vendor should be tipped based on the service they provided.
✨ Did they go above and beyond to make your day magical?
😬 Or did they just meet the bare minimum?
Tipping is a wonderful way to show appreciation — but it should feel earned, not expected.
That said, here’s a good starting point for vendor tips: Planner/Coordinator: $100–$500 (or a nice gift)
Photographer/Videographer: $50–$200 each (or 10% if they exceeded expectations)
Band: $50–$100 per musician
DJ: $100–$200
Catering Staff: 15–20% (if not already included in your contract)
Hair & Makeup: 15–25%
Officiant: $50–$200 (or a donation to their organization)
Florist, Baker, or Other Vendors: Optional — $25–$100 if they went the extra mile
Remember — a heartfelt thank-you note or review means just as much as a tip! 💖

As a coordinator, my focus isn’t just on the bride and groom — it’s on the entire experience. My goal is to make every wedding day as smooth and stress-free as possible for everyone — the couple, their parents, and every vendor involved.

I want the bride and groom to truly soak in every moment of their special day (because it goes by so fast!), while knowing that their needs are being met and everything is handled behind the scenes. I also believe parents deserve to enjoy the day right alongside their children — celebrating the moment they’ve dreamed of for so long.

And let’s not forget the incredible vendors! Communication and teamwork are key to creating a seamless event. When vendors work together, that’s when the real magic happens ✨

This Saturday, I get to watch Micah and Stormy, two high school sweethearts say “I Do” and begin their journey as husband and wife — and I couldn’t be more excited! ✨

Planning with Stormy and her wonderful mom Misty over the past few months has been such a smooth and joyful experience. They had a clear vision, and it’s been my honor to help bring it to life.
