Im Gonna go ahead and address this stupid ass idea among some of y’all no p***y gettin’, livin’ in ya mom’s basement type, self appointed Hip-Hop police dude’s that got this dumb ass idea that putting together a mix, compilation or collection of songs sampled by the original artists is somehow so called “snitching”...Let me explain this s**t real slow for y’all cats...Back when those Ultimate Breaks records started appearing back in the mid-1980s, that was just the beginning of the game being up on keeping secrets about who sampled what on which Hip Hop records...Let me further clue y’all stupid mf’s in to something else too...There is this little invention called the internet...The internet is a place where researching and reading occurs...All you have to do is read and research to find out who sampled what these days...As a matter of fact, even before the internet there use to be this practice that people use to perform called reading album credits! Where the sampled artists and songs were also listed...It’s obvious to me that these are the type of cats that don’t like to read or research anything, not even the Hip Hop s**t that they claim to be so true to and in love with...Y’all corny ass Hip Hop purists wannabes ain’t gatekeepin’ s**t in the 21st century among people that actually still like to research and read things that are of interest to people...In this case we’re talking about Hip Hop...I am a 47 year old music fan that have been an active participant in not only Hip Hop but various forms of music in one way or another for a vast majority of my life...I ain’t the one to try to school or to try to play the game of “one ups-man ship” with...I’m an adult, doing adult s**t and in my spare time when I’m not adulting, I always return back to listening, creating, researching and reading about music...It’s just what I do and no amount of you trying to play gatekeeper is gonna keep me or anybody else that want to learn, know and understand more about not just Hip Hop but music and culture in general can stop that...Now go back to your mom’s basement and watch Beat Street again or something...Also thanks to each and every one of y’all that’s been listening, re-posting, re-sharing, complimenting me on the 3 (Madvillain, Gang Starr & A Tribe Called Quest) samples mixes I dropped so far...I promise there is much more to come...Stay tuned...😎⭐🖤
