I’ve been a little quiet on here lately, but it’s not because I’ve disappeared. I’ve been pouring myself into learning, growing, and leveling up everything I can behind the scenes to make Gather & Garnish the best it can possibly be.

From refining my brand voice to deep-diving into client experience and service design, I’ve been doing the work to build something not just beautiful, but meaningful. I want every couple, host, and guest to feel like they’re part of something intentional and unforgettable when they work with me.

It’s been a lot of work… but I haven’t been doing it alone. Cheddar and Meatball (aka the world’s furriest interns) have been supervising my every move, usually from directly on top of my laptop. In fact, if you’re wondering why there’s a missing key on my keyboard… let’s just say someone got a little too passionate about helping me rebrand. 😹🐾

Big things are coming soon, and I can’t wait to share them with you 💚

I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting lately—on who I am, who I’m becoming, and where I’ve come from. And no matter how far I go, I’ll always trace part of my journey back to one place: The Viaduct.

This little bar gave me my start. It gave me space to make mistakes, learn from them, and get back behind the bar a little wiser than before. It’s where I first discovered that bartending is about so much more than pouring drinks—it’s about presence. Being a safe place for people in their lows, and a loud cheerleader in their highs. Offering kindness and a smile, even on the days I barely had one to give—because you never know if that’s the only warmth someone will feel all day.

It’s also where I fell in love with the art of it all. The creativity. The connections. The chaos. The cocktails. 🍸

I made so many memories within those walls—on both sides of the bar. That place watched me grow from a lost 21-year-old into a young woman with a calling.

The Viaduct may have closed its doors last weekend, but it’ll always hold a place in my heart. Thank you to everyone who was part of that chapter. 💚
