𝗣𝗜𝗣𝗘𝗦/𝗪𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗥: If running a small stream of water, the stream should be the size of a strand of spaghetti out of the faucet furthest away from the water meter. Only run the stream of water during temperatures below 32 degrees. Once the temperature rises above 32, turn off the faucets to allow the water system to catch up.

𝗣𝗘𝗢𝗣𝗟𝗘/𝗣𝗘𝗧𝗦: Charge all devices and prepare for power outages. Minimize time outdoors. Stay dry and warm and stay indoors as much as possible. Ensure pet food and water don't freeze.

𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗦: Cover plants if possible to help retain heat and reduce exposure to cold and frost.

𝗢𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥 𝗖𝗟𝗢𝗦𝗨𝗥𝗘𝗦:
- Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office administrative offices, Lafourche Parish District Attorney's Office, Clerk of Court Office, 17th Judicial District Court, and Lafourche Parish Assessor's Office are closed through Wednesday, January 22.
- Lafourche Parish Public Schools and Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux Catholic Schools are closed through Wednesday, January 22.
- Nicholls State University and Fletcher Technical Community College are conducting remote delivery of classes through Wednesday, January 22.

Lafourche Parish Curfew Set to Begin at 8 AM for the Winter Storm 2025

LAFOURCHE PARISH – Due to the icy impacts from the Winter Storm, Lafourche Parish officials will enact a curfew beginning at 8AM on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, this curfew will stay in place as long as icy conditions remain on the roads. Residents are asked to shelter in place and stay off the roadways to keep roadways open for emergency personnel to respond to emergencies. All businesses should be closed by 8AM today for employees to make it home before the icy conditions become worse. Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies will be out enforcing the curfew but will allow a grace period for business workers to return home. Essential personnel should be carrying their ID or placard displaying that they are indeed essential personnel.
