Successful events aren't measured by attendance alone. They're measured by the connections they create.

When I left my corporate career to start Erie & Ivy Events, I never imagined a weekly line dancing event would become part of the journey.

Now I'm planning weddings, corporate retreats, and private parties for people I first met on the dance floor.

Funny (and amazing) how your life can change in a blink of an eye.

I've learned that when you follow your dreams, you don't always end up where you expected. Sometimes the path God has planned is even better than the one you imagined.

To everyone who's shared your story with me, thank you. You're a reminder that great events don't just bring people together. They change lives.

If you're a line dancer, what's your "why"? ❤️

Don't hire the di****ad.

Since starting my own event management business, I've seen firsthand how hard it is to say no to those people.

Sometimes that client has the money, the influence, the referrals, or the promise of steady work. When you're building a business, it's tempting to convince yourself you can tolerate just one difficult client.

But every "yes" to the wrong person usually comes at the expense of the right ones.

Trust that the right clients are out there. Build the business that attracts people who value your work, respect your expertise, and make you excited to show up.

An open letter to the people who trust me with their biggest moments.

Do you remember working when you were 6 years old?

I do. For me, "work" was setting the table perfectly, learning to anticipate what people needed before they asked, and realizing early on that taking care of people is an art form.

I’ve been in hospitality since I was a kid. It’s a lifetime of true experience, and I have the stories to prove it.

Before founding Erie & Ivy Events, those stories included managing logistics and planning events for heavy-hitters like The Walt Disney Company, The Ritz-Carlton, and eBay. I learned how to handle massive operational pressure, but more importantly, I learned that big budgets mean nothing if the people in the room don't feel genuinely cared for.

I didn't start Erie & Ivy to chase "perfect aesthetics" or performative luxury. I started it because I love bringing people together without the chaos.

Whether it's a corporate meeting, a community event, or a wedding, my job is to be the calm operational lead who has your back. I handle the timelines, the vendors, and the logistics so you can actually be present.

Hospitality isn't just the foundation of my business, it's who I am.
