Been super busy lately, so i apologize for the lack of updates. Here's one from beginning of this month. Bought out my poor neglected airbrush, and tried a new technique for replicating a burnt/scorched metal look for the muzzle and cylinder.

"The T.S.C (or thermite Slug Caster) was the standard issued tool assigned to the ice-mining personnel stationed on Vesta. The 10 highly volatile high-temp rounds were used to shatter off ice chunks in a controlled fashion for processing. After tensions rose over the formation of the U.C, the T.S.C was brought into circulation with rebel combatants who soon realized the thermite rounds were nearly as effective on drone exoskeletons as they were permafrost. "

Got back from Salt City Comic Con (...got back? Our live five minutes away) and it was right back to work. Was pretty stoked on how the barrel shroud on the autorifle came out...only to realize The Red Death (which I was going to build) Has none of those layers or venting, and that all could have been skipped.

In fact, if I were to stick with that, I'd have to cover all that.

Measure twice, kids. Cut one.

What a blast! Day one of the Salt City Comic-Con has past. Everyone who came up to the DFA booth was awesome, and I'm glad I got to meet you all! A huge thanks to anyone who made a purchase or took out a commission request (look forward to making it happen). Mondo "Tank" to my main chika-homie for all the help today!

There's one day left! The guys at Larger Than Life Toys & Comicsput together a stellar event, so don't miss you opportunity to check it out tomorrow, 10am-5pm at the oncenter in Syracuse!

From "I have to finish the other projects I started, I CANT start anything else" to "I bet you can't build a 10mm before 2am".

Finished building at 1:46am.

This was a right pain in the ass. Since this picture:
Head rig finished (painted, leds wired and installed, visor...put back in)
This section of the back has been painted. Spine hose/light installed.
Front of torso painted, leds installed.
Bracers finished.

Still to do:
Finish painting bicep armor
Paint thighs
Fabric wrap collar
Gloves and feet
Little details here and there

Lots to do, but I'm beyond stoked that the done list finally outweighs the to-do list!
