We’re excited to welcome Cinnabun Cosplay as our final featured cosplay guest for ANISONG VS VGM - SYR, appearing as Dio Brando from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure!

A Syracuse native with over 13 years of cosplay experience, Ashe has built an impressive portfolio through prop making, sewing, and cosplay photography. Her dedication to the craft has earned her three Best in Show awards, making her a standout creator both behind the camera and on the convention floor.

With over a decade of experience and multiple Best in Show awards, Cinnabun Cosplay immediately stood out as someone we wanted to include in this year’s roster. From sewing and prop making to cosplay photography, Ashe brings an incredible level of craftsmanship to every project she takes on, and we can’t wait to see her bring Dio Brando to ANISONG VS VGM!

A longtime Anime Night favorite, Wicked Little Blooms has become a staple of our community through appearances in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Buffalo, Rochester, and Syracuse. Chloe handcrafts a one-of-a-kind collection of anime and pop culture-inspired bath products, body care, jewelry, accessories, and more creating a booth that’s unlike anything else you’ll find at the event.

When we first met Chloe, we knew she brought something truly unique to Anime Night. Her creativity goes far beyond traditional artist merchandise, combining handmade craftsmanship with anime, gaming, and pop culture in a way that’s become a fan favorite wherever we go. We’re thrilled to have Wicked Little Blooms return once again and can’t wait for everyone to experience her incredible work in person.

Another cosplayer has just joined the roster!

We’re excited to welcome SamIsAtk back to Syracuse as our next featured cosplay guest for ANISONG VS VGM, appearing as Samantha Maxis from Call of Duty: Zombies!

Passionate about bringing anime, video game, and movie characters to life, Sam has become known for creating detailed cosplays that celebrate both fan favorites and hidden gems. Beyond crafting incredible costumes, she’s an experienced cosplay competition judge and is dedicated to fostering a welcoming community by encouraging fellow creators and helping others grow their confidence in the hobby.

As the only veteran cosplay guest returning to Syracuse, Sam was someone we intentionally invited back for ANISONG VS VGM. We knew we wanted to showcase video game cosplay alongside anime, and her Samantha Maxis has become one of the most recognizable Call of Duty: Zombies cosplays in the community. It’s a unique character you rarely see represented, and exactly the kind of creativity we wanted to highlight for this event.

⚔️ THE MATCH OF THE MILLENNIUM... IS ABOUT TO BEGIN! 🎮

The first challenger has entered the roster.

We’re excited to welcome Bex as our first featured cosplay guest for ANISONG VS VGM, appearing as “Inori Yuzuriha” from “Guilty Crown”!

Originally from New Jersey, Bexxicar has quickly become a familiar face in the Syracuse cosplay community since moving to the area three years ago. While she’s been cosplaying for several years, she dove headfirst into the hobby over the past year, developing her skills in wig styling, prop making, costume construction, and character-specific makeup. Her work has already earned opportunities to walk in NYC Fashion Week’s Cosplay Couture, serve as a cosplay ambassador for NOCOCON, and appear as a featured guest for Luna Cat Cafe’s Lunacon!

When we first came across Bexxicar’s Kaneki cosplay, we knew we wanted to work with her. We’re thrilled to have her kick off the cosplay roster for ANISONG VS VGM as Inori!

“I’ve worked as a promoter and in the event industry for ten years, booking and building an event is one thing — but creating an entire character and world for her, and connecting her relationship to the event certainly goes beyond anything I’ve ever conceived in the past” - Evan Tuccarello • DJ Anison

To bring Tsuki to life, it meant connecting with who she is. Remembering what it was like to be a kid walking into Hot Topic for the first time and staring at the wall of band merch while looking to your left and being captivated by all the nerd merch from all the series you love.

Tsuki is who she is because she remembers how it felt to boot up Kingdom Hearts II and have an out of body experience the first time she heard Sanctuary.

To fall in love with art and culture in the 2000’s was to discover anime on Toonami and 4Kids TV, to walk the mall on Friday nights with your friends—sharing an earbud for a song of a new band you found on someone’s MySpace. It was your copy of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind living in your DVD player because it’s become a comfort movie at this point, it’s what you put on in the background when you’re doing your makeup, cleaning your room, or doing your homework.

Tsuki is those parts of all of us that are hearts both long for and never forget. She’s in the dust on our GameCube, the old box of hair dye in a drawer, and in the beat of every song you’re still stuck on so many years later.

Anime Night is the place you go where it all comes back to life. Where the music reminds you of who you were then, and how that person still lives on inside you. Surrounded by the stories, the art, and the music we love brings you back to the place where the world felt easier and nothing else mattered but the moment you were living.

We hope you find a piece of yourself in Tsuki in whatever shape that may take. 🖤
