I took a mini retreat, just myself, the last two days and it was so good. Sometimes we have a lot on our minds or are thinking and praying over big questions so we take time away to solve them, but that’s not always it. The last two days I was reminded that we are worth a bit of extravagance. The most beautiful day, nature putting on a show of animals and flowers, seeing a friend’s work in a shop, walking for miles, praying in the still quiet of a chapel, eating food I didn’t cook, having champagne on a balcony with a good book. It doesn’t need to be a lot or far away, just needs to be.
