We've had a few people ask about a base for those not attaching the Burt head to a mannequin so I've made a simple base that the head sits in and will have the collar piece included.
I can make it in red or black resin. I'll list it in the shop this coming week. :)

Hi All,

I tracked down what I think are the original parts Jan Kemp used and had copied for the Robin buckle.

A vintage non-com Marine dress buckle!

It was cannibalized for parts and the only thing to add was the brass disc!
I feel certain this was what was used as a base in the screen test and in fact, at least one screen used belt.
Stewart had a screen used belt that was missing the disc side but the receiver side was this part from the dress buckle.
It looks like the belt he is wearing in the B&W image has the same side bar adjustable attachments.

The parts are actually steel that are brass plated and lacquered. It makes soldering a bit difficult but not impossible.

I popped the hook off the rectangular buckle and used it on the disc.
Every individual part matches the size of the production made copies made for the Hardeman belt at that unknown "metal shop".

It also explains the way the size adjustment was made on the belt. You'll notice that the dowels move in and out away from the buckle. You tighten it up or loosen it by adjusting the belt strap going into the buckle.
One side was usually sewn in place and the other side adjustable.

I love this stuff!!!

The first (I think) Bat buckle also has Marine DNA !

Together again... at last!!
Even though I'm still missing the Robin boots, I'm pretty pleased with the vibe these two give off in the room.

The light grey finish will probably go to a matte white to show off the costumes and I'll make a flesh toned pair of heads to swap out.

Hi All,

We will be taking orders for the Season One Wonderful One suit starting now until the end of April. We will not be making it again for at least a year if at, all after this.

It is $4000.00 US and includes the suit, cuffs, tiara, belt and lasso.
Payments can be spread out over 6 months.
If you already have the cuffs, we can deduct that from the order price.

You can add the skirt and or the cape to your order. These accessories will not be listed on the site or available later.
We'll post the prices of those items soon.

We are moving towards making these costumes available at one time in a Limited Edition, rather than continuing to make them available year round or by the piece.

Hi All,
A couple of shots of the completed super suit! It's amazing to see it all put together! A strange visitor indeed!

The client wanted it in a cotton fabric rather than wool due to a moth issue so the tights and trunks are a heavy stretch cotton jersey.

The cape is silk and looks exactly like the fabric used on the original. I saw an original years ago and was surprised by the texture of the cape. Lynne knew what it was instantly!
Boots are custom made with zippers up the back.
