I forgot about this beautiful message that came up on my memories from 6 years ago. When we spoke, he told me he researched me and saw my extensive resume. It wound up being a stellar event with unique surprised throughout the evening:
“I had an inquiry from a prospective client for a surprise party and this is what he wrote for initial e-mail after viewing my site. I thought it was amazing someone acknowledged the different aspect a female can bring in DJ entertainment. To top it off, during our conversation, he asked if I spoke Italian and I do, I have learned good accent, etc. Hence, he hired me and also wants me to announce in Italian. This is just so diiferent: I was impressed by his letter....”
"Thank you for contacting me. As an account executive for Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, my days are rather crazy. I also have to communicate with vendors when my wife is not home, or, I am out on the road. I am going to the venue tomorrow to discuss my entertainment scheduling with them. Since I come from an entertainment background, I intend to throw a party like no one has done before, at least in my family. Once I have completed my production talks with the venue, then, I have to make a decision with my DJ. Expect a call from me after that meeting. I have not chosen a DJ yet, so don’t worry. Just so you know, I always look for female entertainers, but, women are rare in your business, so, I am glad that I found you! You are the only one!
Just to give a little personal history, I worked in radio, had my own DJ business in the 70’s, spent two years as a cruise director, was an assistant entertainment director in the Catskill’s, and, a stage manager, and, managed a magic act. This is all in the past! But I do miss it! This is why this party, the first one that I have ever planned, is very important to me and has to be different and special! Your creative talents will be critical in this case. I look forward to speaking with you."
