6 years ago, I started hosting trivia at Diane’s Villa Nova (Rip Diane) to help them out with their business and it turned into something I couldn’t imagine.
Covid shut it down for a little bit, but started back up at Diane’s until they shut their doors in October of 2021.
Got the itch to get back in the game, and started hosting again at Stonewall Grille (RIP Stonewall)in 2022.
That launched this business into something crazy- I was hosting trivia and karaoke at various places in the surrounding towns for the last 2 years from Kahula, to Enrico’s, Clambox, Deep Roots Distillery, PJ’s Town Crier, and my most recent home, Lake George Tavern.
I got to meet a bunch of really cool people in the process, make some new friends, and collaborate with other hosts. It was something that I really needed at a time in my life when things were pretty crazy for me.
Today, I announce my retirement from trivia hosting. I launched another venture recently that I am diving head first into to see what I can make from it.
I want to thank the business owners I have worked with- The Balderelli Family, Mike and Scott, Tim and Cindy, Stephen, Tom, Keith, and Erica, Kayla, and George- it’s been a blast working with you guys.
I want to thank the people that I have worked with and collaborated with-
Dan Thompson- the Big Guy- appreciate all the help and guidance- we’ll always have Joel Crouse at Kahula!
Emily Thompson- thank you for always helping me with graphics and posters.
KP and Kenzie- appreciate the coverage when I needed it.
Hot Toddie and Kelli (the better half)-the greatest 6th man there is- appreciate you covering for me whenever I needed it last minute.
Also want to shout out 2 trivia teams- Generation Gap and Party of 5- they have followed me all over the last few years, and we’re with me right from the start at the Villa Nova- appreciate all your support
With that said, Todd Marsh of Marsh Madness Entertainment will be handling all of my trivia gigs for the foreseeable future.
I hope to see you all out and about- I will probably pop in at different venues from time to time.
I’ll miss you guys!
