I might be bias but can these photos get any cuter? Such sweet smiles and genuine laughter while they played my silly games, and crawled into some questionable locations. A group effort of Grandma curling El's hair, picking out Zinley's clothes, finding a new location after the park was still closed, and convincing El that no sunshine is the PERFECT light for photos..... most important a great Saturday morning spent with all of them. Thank you Colter and Zander for such patience..... on opening Fishing Day!

My kids are the last to get family photos scheduled. I finally got Lynn and Jesse's family done a few weeks ago. There is so much personality in these kids that you can see even in photos. As much as I'd like to make them stay little it's been fun watching them grow. One more family to go and I can update all the kids photos. Lynn and Jesse own Life Root Farm so we had to take a few photos for their website and Mallory is a author for 3 published books, she also needed some photos.

It's been awhile since I posted photos, life gets busy for everyone but the one thing that can stop time is a great family session and this one didn't disappoint. Great fall afternoon in the perfect location. We all need to stop time and treasure the moment we are in, they will grow up faster than we want.

When a cardinal appears a loved one is near.

It's been a hot minute since I've posted on here. I've had a few session but not any I could share. I have my grandkids photos on the frig and they are sooooo outdated so I scheduled each of them to get new ones taken. These are the 1st in line and what a great way to make Grandma happy.

While taking the photos we were at Adam and Haley's house and I said "let's just take photos of the girls". We get all set up and a cardinal lands in the tree above us singing to let us know she was there.... the kids see her all the time and call her Charlee. We all looked up and said Charlee wanted to let her sister's know that she was there with them. I still can't believe this happened, she stayed there through all the photos. Then we moved to the other side of the house and while we were taking pictures of the whole family Charlee lands in that tree and starts singing again. She has the best way to let Adam and the kids know that she's here with them and their photo turned out amazing. There might have been a few tears from little Miss Emmy but she pulled through with a few smiles.

There are always challenges with all photoshoots. This one was challenging all of us with the rain.... rescheduled days...... buckets and buckets of rain..... right up to the half hour before. We went for it anyway since cloudy days are the best days. Not a drop during our hour together in a perfectly fall colored day.

Braxton has been in front of my lens for many years. He never disappoints the outcome with his smile. He lights up on the fields in his sports gear and again in the dark weight room. We might have had a bit of trouble with the fog machine..... results were worth it. The laughs and catching up with mom made for a great night.

Time for some family photos.... and a couple Coors Light. Always a great time catching up with this family. It was a HOT day but the only time we could make work.... shade and hydration got us all through with plenty of smiles. :)

I don't take many photos anymore but when a friend's dad has a 90th birthday and they need family photos I am right there. Our families spent many birthday parties together and I've seen this look more than you know. Aren't they sweet?

I grew up in a bar, Thanksgiving to us was all work and the family we seen was those that came to help. We served up hot food, drinks and provided a place for all those big buck stories to be shared. It really was my favorite time of the year, there was something about orange hunting clothes, excited fathers sharing stories of their sons and daughter that got their first shot at a deer. As long as I can remember there was never a sad hunter even if he missed the 30 pointer. We might not have sat around the table eating turkey but we shook a lot of dice, celebrated with family, and made lots of memories.

This Thanksgiving I started my day helping this family capture the moment forever when they could all be together. When your family gets older it's hard to get them under the same roof all at the same time but it finally happened. Back to my roots of helping others and also getting to share in their joy of all being together.

There was snow which we weren't too crazy about but it was warm, snow is a great reflector and the cloudy sky was helping us out too. We ended the session with a snowball fight... them against me! I had my long lens in the car and with the last photo I maybe should have used it. LOL

Getting the chance to hang out with the Seniors is such a fun time. They are on their last year, dreams for their future and one more step to their cap and gown. I told Vincent's mom "you did a great job raising this boy, you should be proud". Polite, kind and handsome.
