Ana looked lovely for her early March wedding in this unique 1970s dress. It was the perfect mix of formal and relaxed, with just enough of a train to bustle and unique sheer sleeves. And my talented alterations partner helped Ana customizes the dress by adding a unique key-hole back feature!

When Ana was trying on dresses in the salon, I'll never forget how quickly she said yes! She had tried on several other dresses earlier in the appointment, and as soon as she slipped this one on, everything shifted and we all knew immediately that this was the one.

Congratulations to the newlyweds 💛

The art of✨matching you with your perfect vintage dream dress✨

These dresses are truly all incredible artistic masterpieces and I am honored to restore them, steward them, and match them to their new home & love story! 🥹🫶🏼 one of my favorite things is to hear about your, your vision & wedding aesthetic, and then pull a couple gowns that I think will be perfect for you. And as many of my past brides can attest, I have an art for pulling the perfect one that you otherwise might have not considered 😉🪄

✨Rising Trend Alert✨ One detail I’ve been seeing at Chicago Bridal Market this week is dimensional pearl and bead embellishment. Pearls that hang from lace, beadwork that moves with the body, almost like additional jewelry that catches the light.

While it feels fresh in modern collections, this detail actually has deep roots in vintage bridal. Many gowns from the late 80s and 90s featured dramatic hand-beading, pearl fringe, and ornate beaded back details that were designed to catch the light, traditionally in cathedrals.

If you’re love this look, vintage bridal is full of it. Those beautifully maximal 80s and 90s gowns did dimensional beadwork first, often with incredible craftsmanship and unexpected details.

Sometimes the “trend” already exists in vintage, you just have to know where to look and how to reimagine it into your dream dress 😉✨
