✨Rising Trend Alert✨ One detail I’ve been seeing at Chicago Bridal Market this week is dimensional pearl and bead embellishment. Pearls that hang from lace, beadwork that moves with the body, almost like additional jewelry that catches the light.
While it feels fresh in modern collections, this detail actually has deep roots in vintage bridal. Many gowns from the late 80s and 90s featured dramatic hand-beading, pearl fringe, and ornate beaded back details that were designed to catch the light, traditionally in cathedrals.
If you’re love this look, vintage bridal is full of it. Those beautifully maximal 80s and 90s gowns did dimensional beadwork first, often with incredible craftsmanship and unexpected details.
Sometimes the “trend” already exists in vintage, you just have to know where to look and how to reimagine it into your dream dress 😉✨
