The other day I saw on one of the local Staunton news pages a person asking where to purchase flowers to take to a friend at the hospital. Did you know Mercantile on Main, Staunton has a selection of ready-made arrangements? These are made from sola wood and will last for many, many years to come! Prices are comparable, If not less than fresh flowers on a lot of arrangements.
‼️ I’m not at all suggesting you not support other businesses, I am just wanting to spread the word that there is another option in town.

Yesterday afternoon I was contacted to make a couple of arrangements for a funeral. The customer was starting to get concerned because she couldn’t find any place open or that would deliver to Bunker Hill. She googled “florist” and found Mercantile on Main, Staunton. She stopped in to pay and I wanted to confirm she realized these were wood flower arrangements and you could see the disappointment in her face because she wasn’t familiar and I started showing her different flowers, she was ordering one on behalf of her mother in law and when I showed her the purples she broke down and said “this is perfect.”
I don’t know the person that passed away, but I felt such a calmness and didn’t even have any anxiousness I usually feel when I’m on a deadline.
I hope the family loves these flowers as much as I loved constructing the pieces for them.
