We want to share some tough news from the MSE Racing family before you hear about it on the street: we lost our beloved box truck, Bessie, over the weekend.

While returning from a timing job in Illinois, Bessie overturned and caught fire on the side of the highway. Our timer was able to kick out the windshield and escape unharmed. We are so grateful he is safe. That is, by far, the most important thing.

We lost a lot of equipment, too, and it’s a hard loss for our small business and our crew. Bessie carried a whole lot of gear—and a whole lot of race-day memories.

We have a strong team and a wonderful community around us. We’ll regroup, rebuild, and bounce back. 💚

Some races warm you up. This one freezes you first. The Shivering Icy Trail Run — ShITR — is Sunday, January 3, 2027 at Creve Coeur Park in St. Louis.

One mile, 5K, 10K, or half marathon around Mallard Lake. Hot drinks and live music at the finish. Proceeds support the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation.

SOLD OUT… AGAIN!

The Ballwin Kids Triathlon is officially SOLD OUT for the third year in a row! We can’t wait to see all of our young athletes swim, bike and run their way across that finish line!

Missed out this time? Don’t worry—we’ve got another kid-friendly event coming up!

Run Witch Run is happening Saturday, October 31 at Legacy Park in Cottleville, with options for the whole family, including a 1 Mile, 5K, 10K, Stroller Kids division and a 350-yard Kids Dash! The Kids Dash even ends with CANDY and the same finish line as the grown-ups. Costumes are highly encouraged, too!
