Ste. Genevieve Trolley, LLC

Around here, when a couple asks us about transportation for their wedding day, there’s one name that immediately comes to mind: Ste. Genevieve Trolley.

We’ve known owner Sam Oberle for years through the wedding industry, and his team has become one of the go-to transportation options for weddings and events throughout Ste. Genevieve and the surrounding area.

And honestly… the trolley is just cool. 😎

Whether it’s moving a wedding party between locations, providing transportation to the area wineries, or getting guests safely where they need to go, the trolley turns transportation into part of the experience. They regularly serve the Ste. Genevieve wine country and travel to venues throughout the region, including places like The Artisan and Pebble Creek Farm.

But the trolley isn’t their only option.

They also offer party buses for couples and groups who want something a little different from the traditional trolley look. We can personally vouch for that side of the business, too — Sam took great care of us when we needed transportation to St. Louis for our son’s prom. That kind of personal experience makes it pretty easy for us to recommend them when one of our own couples asks who to call.

🎶☀️ What a fun afternoon in Bismarck!

A big thank you Drive-in Dirty for inviting Gold Star DJ out to provide the music for their Back to School Bash!

We think it’s fantastic to see a local business use an event like this to support the community. Along with the dirty sodas, music and fun, Drive-In Dirty was accepting school supply donations to help support local students as they head back to school. 🎒📚✏️

We brought along the bubble machine — which was definitely a hit with the kids — and a few Loop Lasso toys for the Drive-In Dirty crew to give away. And despite Mother Nature turning the thermostat up a little higher than necessary 😅☀️, we had a great time being part of it.

Thanks again to Drive-In Dirty for choosing Gold Star DJ and, even more importantly, for finding a fun way to give back to the Bismarck community. ⭐🎧

✨ Friday Favorite: El Tapatio ✨🌮

This week, we’re showing some love to one of our absolute favorite local caterers — El Tapatio Park Hills!

We’ve had the opportunity to work alongside their team at weddings and events over the years, and they consistently bring great food, great service, and an incredible value to the table. Even their premium fajita options are very reasonably priced, making them a fantastic local option for couples feeding a crowd.

And we can’t talk about El Tapatio catering without mentioning the queso fountain. 😋🧀 Seriously. It’s every bit as good as it sounds.

But one of our favorite memories of working with their team has nothing to do with fajitas or queso.

At one wedding, dinner was a particularly busy time for us and we never had a chance to grab a plate. One of the owners noticed, asked if we had eaten, and when she found out we hadn’t, she insisted on making sure we got a plate.

It was a simple gesture, but one we’ve never forgotten. That kind of attentiveness and genuine thoughtfulness says a lot about the people behind a business.

Great food is important, but when it comes with great service and people who genuinely care, that’s something worth celebrating.

One of the best parts of being in the wedding industry is getting to meet other business owners who care just as much about creating unforgettable experiences as we do.

We recently had the pleasure of meeting Brittany and her husband, the team behind Mobile Memories Wedding & Event Experiences, at Crystal’s 50th birthday celebration. One of our favorite parts of attending local bridal shows is meeting passionate people who genuinely love what they do. That’s exactly what happened when we met Mandy, owner of Frosted Memories by Mandy.

From the moment we introduced ourselves, her enthusiasm was contagious. You could immediately tell that creating beautiful floral designs isn’t just a business—it’s something she truly loves. That passion shines through in every arrangement she creates.

Since then, we’ve enjoyed watching her reputation continue to grow throughout our local wedding community. Whether she’s designing elegant premium silk florals or creating her beautiful hand-painted wooden flowers, Mandy has a creative eye and a heart for helping couples bring their vision to life. Some of our favorite vendor relationships have grown over the years, and Payal is a perfect example.

We first had the opportunity to work alongside Payal while she was managing events at The Artisan at Baetje Farms. She was always organized, welcoming, and focused on creating an incredible experience for every couple and every vendor involved.

And now, through Polished by Payal, she’s continuing to help couples bring their wedding visions to life as a wedding planner. Her experience on both the venue and planning sides gives her a unique perspective on what it takes to create a smooth, memorable wedding day.

One of the things we’ve always appreciated about Payal is her calm, thoughtful approach. Great wedding planners do so much behind the scenes that couples never even see, allowing them to relax and truly enjoy one of the biggest days of their lives.

✨ Friday Favorite: The View at Charleville ✨

Some venues leave a lasting impression from the moment you arrive, and The View at Charleville certainly lives up to its name.

We’ve had the privilege of celebrating with countless couples here since the venue first opened, and we’re honored to be one of their Preferred DJs. It’s always a pleasure working alongside Kassie and the rest of the team. Their professionalism, organization, and genuine care for every couple make each wedding day run smoothly.

One of our favorite recent additions is the new pavilion overlooking the back patio and ceremony space. It was such a smart addition, and it turned out beautifully! It gives couples even more flexibility while preserving the breathtaking views that make this venue so memorable.

This photo was taken from behind our DJ booth during one of those unforgettable evenings. It’s a view we never get tired of and a reminder of how fortunate we are to celebrate alongside amazing couples in incredible places.
