At IssaFest, our mission is simple: To turn local talent into local legends.
We believe that St. Louis isn't just a dot on the map—it is the heartbeat of American creativity. From the soulful strides of Gaslight Square to the world-shaking rhythms of East St. Louis, this city has a deep and storied history as a powerhouse of Black entertainment. For decades, our streets have birthed the poets, musicians, and comedians who defined global culture.
This history is exactly why we do what we do.

We recognize that the next generation of icons is already here, walking our neighborhoods and honing their craft in the shadows. IssaFest was created by Nucci Banga, Panda Lee, and Reggie Swanigan to bring those creators into the light. We provide a professional stage, high-level marketing, and a platform for city-wide popularity—at no cost to the artist.

We care about the art because it is our city's voice. We care about the artists because they are our city's future. And we care about St. Louis because this is our home. We aren't just putting on a show; we are honoring a legacy and building a stage where every STL creator has the chance to be the next great chapter in our history.
