Did you notice we have two separate photo meetups this fall? 👀

This Friday, ladies 21+ are invited to join us at After Hours at the Workshop. We'll dress up, grab some refreshments at The Workshop At Finley Farms, and explore the magical Finley Farms grounds while we hype each other up and take each other's photos.

Then, we're back at the Workshop on the 30th for their all-ages night! This time, our younger members can join us and moms can bring the littles for some cute Mommy & Me pics.

There is no cost to participate, we simply ask that you support the venue by purchasing refreshments if possible, and show up with good vibes!

These are not professional photography events and you don’t need experience to participate. (We do welcome female photographers in a TFP capacity).

The goal is that everyone leaves with new friends, feeling a little more confident, and with great photos. We will be sharing some of our favorites here and tagging our amazing venue partners. 🫶🏻

Still thinking about yesterday. ❤️

WAVE Springfield and Team Fusion Jiu-Jitsu & MMA came together for our FREE Women’s Self-Defense Class, and what a day it was!

From warm-ups and striking and kicking drills to learning how to defend against grabs, holds, and chokes, everyone got the chance to learn, practice, and get a little outside their comfort zone.

And then there was the cage. 👀

We had a fantastic group of women and girls show up, many of whom were trying something like this for the very first time. There was plenty of hard work, plenty of laughter, and a whole lot of encouragement along the way.

This is exactly the kind of experience we wanted to create when we started talking about this collaboration with Team Fusion... something practical, approachable, and maybe a little outside the box.

Thank you again to the entire Team Fusion crew for helping make it happen, and to everyone who came out and gave it a shot!

Here’s a little look at our Sunday. 👊❤️

Okay, I know I said the video recap was coming tomorrow… But then I started watching the footage. 😅

And I kept seeing takedown after takedown after takedown.

And I realized something: these guys deserve their own round of applause! 👏

They gave up part of their Sunday to spend a couple of hours getting kicked, punched, grabbed, thrown, tackled, and generally beat up so that women could practice these techniques safely with real resistance.

This reel is only a small sampling of what they volunteered for today, and it doesn’t even include everyone who was helping.

So to all of the Team Fusion Jiu-Jitsu & MMA guys who spent their Sunday letting us practice on you:

THANK YOU. You were an incredibly important part of making today possible, and we appreciate you more than you know. 👏🤩
