Bucket to bouquet. Fun little birthday arrangement from a few weeks ago.

The Brave Bloom exists in the margins of my life, after the kids are in bed (or before they wake up), on my messy kitchen table, between work and soccer practice, wherever I can find a little space.

While I can’t deny I’m dreaming of more, I’m so grateful for what I’ve been able to do and learn this growing season! ❤️❤️

Last week a customer used my flowers for a gorgeous bachelorette dinner by the lake. I think they turned out ALMOST as beautiful as the bride they were celebrating! 😊❤️

A little evening harvest for our FIRST FARMERS MARKET FLOWER SALE tomorrow!! Are we excited? Nervous? A teeny bit stressed? Yes. All of those. But mostly we’re having fun, enjoying the beauty, and learning SO much!!

I’ll have these beauties (the flowers not Thea 😉)wrapped or arranged and for sale tomorrow at from 3-7 PM ☺️

I thought by now I’d have more than one bucket of flowers to harvest.

I thought every seed I planted would grow and bloom (RIP dusty Miller).

I thought I could count on our cool spring to bring me beautiful poppies (hello 90 degrees in June).

Turns out the best laid plans don’t always turn out the way you think they will. But there is beauty in slow starts and steady progress.

We got to do a fun little project this week!

My kids go to the greatest daycare: Creative Kids Learning Center in Spooner. To be honest I never wanted to put my kids in a daycare center. But life happens and that’s where we ended up, but this place has been the biggest blessing to us. My kids have so much fun, they are so well loved, and it makes me so, so happy!

CKLC has amazing play areas and does so much hands on learning and fun with the kids. This spring they dealt with some crazy location changes and between that and the weird weather lost some seedlings in their container garden.

the kids and loaded up some extra seedlings, seeds, and few bags of compost and planted up 5 raised beds with lettuce, carrots, peas, tomatoes, peppers, watermelons, cucamelons, broccoli, cauliflower, a big max pumpkin, marigolds, and a few sunflowers on the side!

Tomorrow will be my first time at a farmers market!!

I don't have any blooms at the moment but I do have lots of pepper and tomato seedlings! It's not too late to plant and I have lots of varieties that would be great for a little porch pot garden! :)

So excited for tomorrow and all our wonderful vendors!
