Yesterday was such a joyful celebration! Grace and Tony have such infectious joy, are so in love, and were truly excited to marry each other. I always love a wedding party full of my former students, working alongside my vendor besties, and sharing it with my husband and son was the icing on the cake! Can barely walk today after keeping the dance floor hopping all night!

SO very honored to marry my son's dear friends in an intimate ceremony before the groom heads off to basic training. Sparta's love lock bride is such a beautiful and meaningful location for a wedding. What an honor to have these young adults keep us in their lives and include me in their biggest life moments. 23 years ago today, I was the bride!

I remember the stress, the pressure, being somewhat clueless about how to make the day special... looking back, I wouldn't change the photography, the florals, the vocalists, most of the wedding party, or the groom! Everything else would likely be different. Our ceremony was too impersonal, our food was not good, our families had to do WAY too much work, and the centerpieces were way too small... among a million other things.

However, what really matters is who you choose, how hard you commit, and that you have FUN and make memories at your wedding. And, that we did!

Ava & Cristian had the most gorgeous wedding in Wausau this weekend. They kept it family-focused, fun, floral, and fabulous! The guests were dressed to the nines, they incorporated their multicultural relationship and their pets, and they clearly are SO in love. Add in my new vendor besties and the loveliness that is downtown Wausau, and I was in wedding Heaven.
