My Freckle Bear: Pumpkin this is the best birthday EVER!! 🥳🥳🥳
Me: smiling ear to ear
Freckle Bear: we met the pilot’s, stayed at the resort, went down the water slides, rode the buzz Lightyear ride, we rode all the rides with daddy!! I ate some good food! Pumpkin, you know I like burgers!! We saw the fireworks. My baby brothers and Jade had so much fun! It was so much fun Pumpkin! The only thing is… I wish you were here to.
Me: Freckle Bear, it sounds like you had so much fun! You didn’t need for me to be there. You had both your dad and Eden and your brothers and sister with you!!
My Freckle Bear: Yes I do Pumpkin!! I love you Pumpkin. I always want you to be with me 🥹

Watching you fade away was one of the hardest parts of my life. But, knowing that you had been gone from your earthly shell gave me a sense of peace. 🙌🏽

To my big brother.
Thank you for your protection. Thank you for your guidance. Thank you for your encouragement. Thank you for taking care of me when I was sick, down and out, or just listening to me talk about anything or nothing at all! Thank you for being one of my greatest cheerleaders!! Thank you for caring for my children, in my absence. In your words: “black people don’t have daycare, we got family!” I’m so THANKFUL you were my family; my kid’s favorite person… good, bad or indifference! God knows- you were NOT the best role model! lol!! And, I F’ing loved that about YOU! Someone had to shake s**t up! While the rest of us kept the peace. IYKYK!! lol!

I cannot imagine this life without you. I’m fortunate to say: “until now… I never had to. I was blessed to have you 52yrs as a friend, a comedic, my go to person, the absolute BEST big brother, and now my angel.”

The Chris Brown and Usher R&B tour was wonderful! From our views from the Ford Field suite, the staff were awesome!! Security guided me to the suite and the host was there to greet us! The DJ’s had us so hyped - I danced off beat, was singing off tune, I simply enjoyed each and every part of the night! Detroit showed up and showed OUT! The fits were a whole vibe! They did not disappoint!! Mr B and I stayed at the Shinola hotel to elevate the experience. Hands down! “That was the best idea ever!” My Goodlookin walked me to the front entrance, and back to the hotel room… we stayed up like teenagers! While I talked his ears off about the concert, how magnificent Chris Brown was!! lol! It will always be CBreezy for me! That man is a musical wonder!! 10 out of 10 experience! It was nice to see Mr Usher for the first time in concert! Detroit!! Detroit!! I F’ing love our city!! Our staycation was magical! 40hrs I will remember foo! Thanks for the love in our city DETROIT! 💋
