There are meals… and then there are experiences.

Last night at Jackson Hall in East Islip was one of those nights where the table kept filling up, the conversation kept flowing, and every dish felt like Chef Mike was sending out a little piece of what he loves to do.

We started with a massive cold seafood platter — lobster, colossal crab, shrimp cocktail, clams, oysters — the kind of spread that makes everyone at the table stop and say, “Wow.” From there came crispy fried calamari, rich burnt ends, and the dish I’ll be thinking about for a while: lobster mussels in a lobster sherry sage sauce. That one was absolutely out of this world.

And that was only the beginning.

The monster lobster rolls came out packed with so much lobster, I had to take half home just to make room for dessert. Apple crumb with vanilla ice cream, a warm baked cookie, crème brûlée, tartufo… and chocolate martinis to close the night the right way.

What stood out most wasn’t just the amount of food — it was the care behind it. You can feel Chef Mike’s dedication to putting out high-quality food and creating a great experience.

Jackson Hall is definitely DJ CHEF approved. If you’re looking for a great meal, warm hospitality, and a feast worth talking about, make your way to East Islip. 🦞🍸
