✨ A Little Clarification About AK Events & What My Services Include! ✨

I want to clear up a few things about my role as your wedding planner and coordinator! 🤍

First, let’s talk about Day-of Coordination!

Yes, I offer it! However, it falls under my Month-of Coordination + Wedding Day Management Package — $1,600.

Why? Because my job starts WEEKS before your wedding day!

I’m already creating your timeline, communicating with vendors, confirming details, and making sure everything is organized before I ever step foot into your venue on your big day.

Now, let’s talk about what I do NOT provide. 🤗

As much as I love helping my couples, there are certain responsibilities that fall outside my role as your wedding planner.

🚫 I am not your server or bartender. I do not serve meals, pour drinks, or provide bartending services. Those responsibilities belong to your catering and bartending teams.

🚫 I do not clean up after guests. Clearing plates, collecting cups, cleaning tables, and handling food or beverage messes are the responsibility of the venue and catering staff.

🚫 I do not take out trash. Trash removal and disposal are the responsibility of the venue, caterer, or bartending team, depending on their agreements.

🚫 I do not set up tables or chairs. Your venue or rental company is responsible for arranging and setting up tables and chairs.

🚫 I do not provide china, goblets, or dinnerware. These items must be arranged through your venue, caterer, or rental company.

So, what DO I do? 💕

I coordinate your vendors, manage your timeline, oversee the flow of your wedding day, assist with agreed-upon décor setup and styling, troubleshoot unexpected situations, and make sure all the moving pieces come together.

I am there to manage your wedding, not replace your venue staff, catering team, or bartenders.

With 16 years of experience in the event industry, I know how important it is for every vendor to understand their responsibilities.

I will always jump in and help where I reasonably can, but I also have to make sure I’m fulfilling the responsibilities my couples actually hired me to do.

At the end of the day, my job is to make sure you can enjoy your wedding without worrying about all the little details happening behind the scenes. 🤍

A wedding planner wears MANY hats, but we cannot wear EVERY hat! 😂

“I'm Courtney, a new AK Events team member! My passion for the wedding and event industry began when I was planning my own wedding. What started as the excitement of bringing my own special day to life quickly grew into a love for the creativity, details, and emotions that go into creating unforgettable moments. That experience sparked a passion in me that has continued to grow, leading me to where I am today.
As the owner of Color Pop Party Rentals, I’ve had the opportunity to turn that passion into a career that I truly love. I believe it is such an honor to be chosen to help plan, design, and execute one of the most meaningful days in someone’s life. Being trusted with such an important moment is something I never take for granted. I love being part of the process that turns a couple’s vision into reality and creates memories they will cherish forever.
Outside of work, I’m a proud mom to two beautiful daughters, ages 14 and 3, who keep me on my toes and make life wonderfully busy! I’m also blessed with an amazing husband who has supported me in chasing my dreams and encouraged me every step of the way. Having his love and support while balancing motherhood, business, and everyday life means more to me than words can express.
