I’m Carl Petersen, a Wedding and Event Photographer in the Seattle/Tacoma area. My style is a balanced blend of photojournalism and artistic modern poses. I lived in Los Angeles for 11 years pursuing acting and filmmaking. My experience directing and producing has greatly shaped the way I shoot and work with clients. I started working more behind the camera in 2009 and developed a new love in phot

ography. I went on to train and work with some of the top photographers in the nation covering high-end Los Angeles weddings, private events on Rodeo Drive, and new year’s eve parties on the Las Vegas strip. Besides photography, I’ve written and produced 8 short films. I have a horrendous amount of training in improv comedy. I’m a painter, published artist and an avid outdoorsmen who loves backpacking in the wilderness and hanging with my daughter. I have a serious travel bug that’s taken me all over the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Central America. Whether it’s gathering a large group for a family photo or positioning a groom for the moment he’ll see his stunning bride for the first time, I’ve developed a talent for capturing people at their best. I’ll leave you with smiles, tears, and laughter you’ll want to keep in a frame for a lifetime.

From “She said yes” to “Pass the snacks” 🤗

I’ve had the absolute honor of photographing this crew since their engagement — through the wedding day nerves, the brand-new baby blur, the toddler chaos, and now this beautifully growing, love-filled family.

There’s something sacred about getting a front-row seat to a story as it unfolds. The inside jokes get better. The hugs get tighter. The kids get taller. (How dare they).

Watching a family grow isn’t just about milestones — it’s about the in-between moments. The way they lean into each other. The way they laugh without trying. The way love quietly multiplies.

Grateful to keep documenting the legacy you’re building, one chapter at a time. 🤍
