I’m currently deep in my end of year editing hole which is one of the reasons why you haven’t seen me. While I’m catching up on alllll the amazing galleries, I had to share one of my favorite engagement backdrop locations!

Point Reyes National Seashore is seriously one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Bay Area. Weather it’s sunny, windy, raining, or overcast, it has a charm about it that is hard to replicate. So excited that L&R chose this as their engagement location!!

Crissy Field in San Francisco is hands down one of my favorite spots for engagement sessions. The palm trees, historic hangars, beach access, Golden Gate Promenade and that iconic bridge? It’s got everything. The sunset light here? Chef’s kiss, as long as Karl the Fog isn’t crashing the party. But the ultimate flex? The rock climbing scene from The Princess Diaries was filmed here. Talk about EPIC!!

Shutter drag is one of my favorite ways to capture the energy of a wedding reception. It freezes the moment and shows the movement. It’s fun, it’s bold, and it’s 100% an art form 🎉📸 To nail the look: you need a slow enough shutter to catch the motion, and a flash that’s direct and bright enough to keep your subject sharp. What makes this shot extra rad? Another flash was going off from a different angle to create that killer lighting effect. Photo settings below 👇
