When she was a little girl, Shari’s father planted a strawberry patch every summer and they quickly became her favorite fruit. Years later, while working as a mortgage broker in Los Angeles, she began making handmade chocolate dipped strawberries for clients. The incredible popularity of these memorable edible gifts soon outpaced the success of her mortgage career. More recently, copy-cat retailers have taken her original creations and down-graded them to be “machine friendly”. With no regard for taste or aesthetics, machine chocolate covered strawberries are stripped of greenery and must be very firm to with-stand the mechanized “dipping”. Numerous comments from discerning customers, craving the original hand-dipped delectable juicy chocolate covered strawberries, reignited Shari’s passion for providing the best tasting berries possible. No machines, no short cuts.
