April in the garden ✨ I’ve been creating a lot of tiny “fairy” arrangements these days. There’s something about their whimsical nature that brings me so much joy. They are mini, but can add a huge dose of brightness to a space. Check out photo 3 to see the teacup arrangement (hint: chicken wire inside the teacup makes it super easy to arrange!) 🌸🧚🏼 What are you obsessed with in your garden lately?

“Go to the garden to remember that everything is love.” 💗 The ranunculus are almost done blooming (sob), but dahlias, bachelor’s buttons, cosmos, roses, & scabiosa are on the way! 🌱 Scroll to the last video to see Peaches’ fave hiding spot ✨ P.S. I’m going to be doing a talk coming up about flower gardening & giving, but I need your help. What questions could I answer/what specifically would you be interested in hearing about? 💗

First full bucket harvest of the year! I’m not sure why the dahlias started to bloom in the wrong season, but I’m here for it. I never thought I’d be harvesting them right alongside ranunculus and anemones 🤗 💐 Has this happened to anyone else? Just me? P.S. If you’re on Substack, I would love to connect there! That’s where I post the majority of my garden photos 🌸 Link in my bio 🌸

I just finished planting over 200 ranunculus corms in my garden. My attempt at creating a mini Carlsbad Flower Fields right here at home. 🌸 These are my number one favorite spring bloomers.

Each photo in this post shares a little ranunculus wisdom like how to plant them and a few fun facts (like how their name means “little frog” 🐸).

If you’re dreaming of growing your own, I shared all the details from soaking and sprouting to my favorite varieties in this week’s Substack post ✨ Read the full post at the link in bio!

We’re taught about history, math, and grammar in school, but not how flowers can heal us. 💐

For thousands of years, people turned to blooms as medicine: roses to calm the heart and nervous system, dahlias to nourish and restore from within, feverfew to soothe headaches.

It’s something our ancestors knew instinctively: flowers help us come back to ourselves. Simply working with flowers, arranging them, or tending to them lowers stress hormones and brings the nervous system back into balance.

Each flower carries its own quiet medicine. Sometimes it’s in its chemistry, sometimes in its scent, and sometimes in the way it invites us to slow down and reconnect.

If you’re seeing this, take it as a sign to work with flowers in whatever way calls to you - try growing your favorite flower, arrange some blooms for your kitchen table, gift them, or simply pause to notice their beauty. 📸 1st photo: 🌸

If you’re feeling overstimulated, anxious, or just running on empty, these videos from my garden are a gentle invitation to pause.

Research shows that even watching scenes of nature can lower cortisol, regulate heart rate, and activate the parasympathetic nervous system — the place where your body can finally rest and repair. (Ulrich et al., 1991)

Let this be your moment to exhale.
To do nothing.
To simply receive.
Let the flowers, the breeze, and the butterflies hold you for a little while. 🌱🌸

🌸 Garden therapy in full bloom. 🌸

Research shows that even just 20 minutes a day in nature can lower stress hormones, boost mood, and improve focus. Tending to flowers, touching the soil, noticing the light and colors—it all helps regulate the nervous system and reconnect us to something steady and life-giving.

Swipe through for a few peaceful moments from my garden this season. Every time I walk into the garden I’m reminded to slow down, be present with the plants and pollinators, breathe, and come back to my senses.

What’s blooming where you are? 🌼
