As always the Tiger Lily is in full swing! Today students created many different arrangements…
Basic Floral Student created little presents to bring home for the holidays.
Advanced & Practicum created two table centerpiece, 4 vase arrangements, and a funeral spray.
We just don’t stop in the shop!!

Today the Tiger Lillies are in Canton Texas at the Christmas in Candy Land Floral Design Competition!!
Wish them luck!!
Three Silsbee High School ladies have been chosen as Texas Miss US Agriculture queens for local counties and will be competing for state titles and scholarships next November. Freshman Kylee Champagne will be representing Hardin County, Freshman Rhaleigh Cox will be representing Jefferson County, and Sophomore Payton Gill will be representing Tyler County.
As part of the Texas Miss US Agriculture program, these young ladies will be completing acts of service and learning more about the agriculture industry. Each Queen will be given the opportunity to determine where they fit into the industry and what they are passionate about.
Their titles will give them the platform to help teach, inspire and advocate for the farming culture. Their duties will include donating time to local organizations, and working to make a difference through community service projects.
These ladies will be eligible to compete in the state pageant next fall for titles and scholarships. Winners there will then move on to the National competition.
Congratulations to these three impressive young ladies! We look forward to following your successes as Texas Miss US Agriculture queens.

This past week Tiger Lillies delivered their monthly arrangements to customers. We are so thankful for our Tiger Lily Club Members!!
Congratulations to our community member of the month!! Jennifer Tomas!! She is the heart of the athletics program and we just wanted to show a little appreciation for all that you do for Tiger Nation!!
This past week the Lillies completed the BECTAL Battle of the Blooms. This is a favorite competition of the Lillies. There are several different divisions to the contest.

The only division the Lillies didn’t compete in was the beginners.
The horticultural contest was a fun and interesting experience for all the Lillies.
The tablescape is their favorite. Teams are given sponsors that they have to create a centerpiece for them. Our teams were as follows…

After a long day of competing you would think the Lillies would be tired of competitions…when finished with day one of the BECTAL contest the Lillies went to a Christmas Warehouse to prepare for a different competition… little Cheer practice to prepare the cheerleaders for their big competition coming up… then top it off with a little in house Gingerbread House building competition lol 😂
They keep me on my toes!! Tomorrow is the last day for the Bectal Contest… more updates on the Lillie’s to come tomorrow.

In a stadium full of students I look up and see our Lillies doing this… We pray before every competition. I’m very proud of the love and faith that our Lillies have… Tiger Nation Mommas be proud of your babies! We’ve raise them right in Silsbee!

To all those wondering… this is the crew of talented Lillies that put together the Education Foundation Casino Night Event. They got to school on a Saturday and worked extremely hard to create and deliver a magical experience.
As a teacher I am so proud of them. There isn’t one day that goes by that I’m not impressed by their growth as artist and dedication to the Tiger Lily Program. Without students like these our program would not be as successful. I’m truly blessed to work with these ladies and I can’t wait for everyone in our community to see what we have planned for the rest of the year!!
To the parents of theses lovely ladies… Thank you for allowing me to be a little part of these ladies lives!
Today the Lillies came together to create some amazing pieces for the Silsbee Education Foundation Casino Night. The girls had an amazing and loved greeting to work with the different products. Event work is always fun and exciting!! We can’t wait to share more pictures from the night!!

Today the FFA was honored to take part in the Middle School Veterans Day Program. The FFA Members gave each Veteran a boutonnière for their service and also created floral arrangements for the event.
We would like to thank all of our veterans for their service to our country and our community!
We also like to Thank the National FFA for the Day of Service Grant that allowed us to provide this for our veterans!!

Floral Design students learned the importance a
of tribute flowers this week! Students were asked to create a funeral sprays for cartoon characters that had “passed”. They created their tribute piece and a eulogy. It was great fun and a wonderful learning experience on a tough subject. Can you guess the characters in these photos?

The Volleyball 🏐 Team had their pink out game today and we were able to add a little sparkle ✨ to the event! The Lillies enjoyed making the balloon arches and the arrangements!

Today Floral Design students practiced their taping skills by making flowers 🌸 pens 🖊! They were very excited to create these pens. Students made two pens… one to take and one to give.
In Advanced Floral we are gearing up to create our first round of monthly arrangements!! We are using using @designmasterpaint to spruce up our containers for next month! Can’t wait for y’all to see the finished product!! Also with monthly arrangements that mean it’s time for community member of the month!! Soon we will be putting more information out about this… so keep an eye out for upcoming news from the Tiger 🐅 Lily!!
