Hi to all my AJR Family!
I wanted to take a moment and update everyone on my life and the happenings surrounding it. A little back story, for those of you that may not have been around from the beginning.
In January of 2025, I was let go from the company I spent the prior 13 years working for. With the support of my husband, I started AJR Coordination. Taking my 20 years of experience and making it my own. Just one month later, I lost Dave tragically at the age of 44 and it turned my life upside down. I was now navigating being a window, single mom of two young boys and an independent business owner. Since then, I have had the pleasure of flawlessly executing numerous momentous occasions for clients. Along the way, I have made new friends, met new vendors, worked tirelessly to balance home life with work life and everything that goes along with it.
Within the last month, I had an opportunity fall into my lap. And it wasn't without a lot of thought and prayer and lost sleep, weighing the pros and cons of this change. And as you may or may not know, I firmly believe that God has a plan for everyone. And he guides and gives what he knows a person needs and can handle. Some of it is harder than others, but it all happens for a reason.
I have accepted a Director of Events position with The Catering Station. I met the owners, Jose & Desiree, while working an event last fall and we "clicked". We became friends. Their passion for the industry and their company philosophies align with mine. Their food is excellent. Their presentation is phenomenal. But above all, they are GOOD people and they care. When you are a good person and you surround yourself with good people, you can only get better. I am super stoked to begin a new journey with this company.
But... AJR isn't going away. Those of you who have trusted me with your events have most likely met or have heard of Jill. She is my partner in crime and has been by my side since the beginning. She will be taking over the operations and making some changes, and keeping the company alive. It's more than I could have ever asked for.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I am not going away, just changing my horizon and the future of my career and life with my children. I will be supporting Jill fully, behind the scenes, as this turnover takes place. I will always be the beginning of AJR, but this change is not the end. Just a chapter in the book for everyone involved.
Thank you for your support and love from the beginning. I appreciate it more than you know.
XOXOXOXOXOXOXO
