On behalf of and the Arts Council of Anne Arundel County, the Annapolis Arts District is seeking an artist, designer, or team to design and execute a mural upon the southeastern, parking lot facing side of the Arundel Center, located at 44 Calvert Street, Annapolis, MD 21401.

This project is part of a series of creative, place-making enhancements Anne Arundel County is pursuing to beautify its properties through public art. This wall represents just one opportunity planned for the Calvert Street corridor and it is intended that this mural will create major, positive impact on the existing street scape.

Register for Poetry Out Loud by November 15th

The 2021-2022 Maryland State Poetry Out Loud competition will be held virtually! We encourage students (who want to participate independently), educators, and community organizers to register indicating their intent to submit poetry recitation videos for competition consideration. Poetry Out Loud is a great opportunity for a remote and hybrid student learning project. You can showcase your students' creativity in a new, fun, digitally engaging way!

MSAC supports NEA and the Poetry Foundationโ€™s Poetry Out Loud program in Maryland, celebrating the performance of great poetry by students across the state.
