We had a great time at the rekindled Ironman bbq festival Friday and Saturday. As posted before we won first place people’s choice wings Friday night. Saturday people’s choice pork we tied in 9th place with other teams. For KCBS chicken we got 10th, Brisket was 6th, and we finally landed a master series trophy with 5th place pork! Ribs didn’t do bad but not great. We had a couple perfect scores in different categories and it landed us in 11th overall! Our little team member even placed 3rd in the kids Q! We are very happy with our results. As always we’re very thankful for our friends, family, and followers that support us. Thank you to Todd (Pappy), Amy and all the volunteers from the community fire company of seven valleys for putting on this great event.

Well time and practice and lots long nights and long conversations has finally paid off we came in with a positive good vibe and on the first night of the rekindled Ironman bbq festival we placed FIRST in people’s choice wings. Thanks to the team and its supporters. We are gonna keep the good vibes going and hopefully do well in the people’s choice pork and in the KCBS master series. 🔥🪵A Bottom of the Barrel BBQ Christmas Poem 🔥🪵

’Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the pit,
The smoker was humming—we never quit!
Brisket was nestled all snug in its wrap,
While pork butts were dreaming of that post-resting nap.

The elves grabbed the tongs, Santa loaded the wood,
He said, “This smoke ring’s magic—just like it should!”
Rudolph sniffed the air, eyes big as a plate—
“I’ll skip the carrots tonight… this brisket looks great!”

We basted the ribs with holiday cheer,
Slathered in sauce thicker than reindeer beer.
The sleigh smelled like hickory—oh what a sight,
Mrs. Claus yelled, “Save me a rack or I’m starting a fight!”

Our followers cheered as we stacked up the trays,
Of pulled pork piled high in a glorious haze.
We thank you for stickin’ with us all year long,
Through late-night cooks and that one sauce gone wrong.

So here’s to good friends, full bellies, good cheer—
May your Christmas be smokin’ and your New Year well-seared!
