As Egypt Today memorialized her “Farewell to Soheir Zaki The Egyptian Belly Dancer Who Mesmerized Presidents and Kings”.
I was blessed to be “assigned” to showcase her style in our 70s show. I studied her and immersed myself in her dance style for months, and it was one of my favorite dances I’ve ever done!
An iconic picture of her on the left, me on the right during my performance in her honor of Lissa Fakir, I remember this moment interacting with the audience, they loved this song!

❗️Students: I will be unable to teach tomorrow (Tuesday 3/3) and Heckart Center will have another dance fitness instructor there in my place. It will not be belly dance, I am not sure which dance it will be.
I had two of my OG students ready to teach, but I didn’t realize they were required to be signed up as instructors, so I apologize! I will be getting them established as background instructors, so in the future there won’t be any interruptions in your belly dance learning! 😊
