HEALING: Balefire is a community of healing which draws its strength from the love and support between participants, which creates a safe space for community members to share feelings openly and authentically. Our healing practice is based on the fundamental truth that love and happiness are essential components of human health.
SERVICE: We help ourselves to grow through acts of service and volunteerism in our communities.
PARTICIPATION: This community can only exist and thrive when everyone participates fully. Participation requires each member to assist in activities such as event planning and setup, food preparation, labor to maintain and grow our physical infrastructure, and other acts of service to ensure that the individual needs of each member of our community are respected. Simple tasks such as cleaning up after an event are vital to our continued success.
CREATIVITY: We are an outlet for your creative expression. We create a platform for your ideas, your art, your music, and your magick. Within this paradigm, being yourself is the greatest act of creativity there is.
NONCONFORMITY: We represent a diverse array of philosophies and beliefs. We are not here to critique or to blindly follow another's path, but to share our own. There should never be a singular belief or philosophy in our group; rather, our community encourages expression of the full diversity of our beliefs.
ENVIRONMENTAL STEWARDSHIP: The ways in which we connect with one another reflect our love and respect for the earth, ourselves, and all forms of life.
SHAMANIC WISDOM: Shamanic wisdom is the religion from which all religions were birthed. We honor and provide space for reconnecting with our shamanic roots through the most powerful tools provided to us by our planetary ecosystem, as well as our own tools which we discover within our divine selves.
