Choosing your wedding venue is one of the first big investments you’ll make during the planning process. It’s incredibly easily to get overwhelmed from the very beginning… it’s all so new, you think about all the special moments you’ll have at each specific venue, and you have no idea what your budget should be. Even for myself this was an overwhelming decision to make. ⁣
⁣
But, why start off planning your wedding this way? Trust me… hire a planner first. Enjoy reviewing a customized list of venues that match your venue and estimated budget. Ask your planner all the pros/cons and make an educated decision that won’t leave you spending more on other items you didn’t know were needed.⁣

Below is a helpful list of my go-to venue questions when I’m touring a new venue with a client. Hope this helps you find your dream venue ❤️⁣

What’s the max capacity at your venue?⁣
⁣
What rentals (chairs, tables, etc) are included or are an additional fee?⁣
⁣
Discuss contracted hours of the venue. What time can you arrive? What time does everyone need to leave including vendors?⁣

Are you able to store or ship a few items to the venue beforehand?⁣
⁣
Do they provide valet services or parking attendants?⁣
⁣
What permits are required or what insurance documents are needed?⁣
⁣
Do they have a preferred vendor list?⁣
⁣
Do they require a wedding planner to be on-site?⁣

Do they have any restrictions to be aware of (florists can’t hang pieces from XYZ, noise restrictions, etc)?⁣
